Collage Framing in Los Angeles, California
Got a stack of photos, ticket stubs, or mementos you want displayed together? Collage framing turns scattered memories into one beautiful piece.

When Your Collage Deserves a Real Frame
A shoebox full of photos doesn't do anyone any good. If you've got a collection of prints, cards, or keepsakes that belong together, collage framing is the answer. We've seen customers bring in everything from family vacation snapshots to concert tickets and baby photos. Los Angeles has over 300 sunny days a year, and that UV exposure fades unprotected prints fast. A proper frame with UV-protective glass keeps your collage looking sharp for decades. Good matting separates each piece. It gives the whole display room to breathe.[1] Don't wait until the edges curl. Don't wait until the colors fade.
Family Photo Collages
Birthdays, reunions, and holiday snapshots all in one frame. We arrange them so every photo gets the space it deserves.
Travel Memory Displays
Maps, ticket stubs, and photos from a trip make great collages. We help you lay it out so it tells the story.
Baby and Milestone Keepsakes
First-year photos, hospital bracelets, and footprints deserve a real frame. These pieces hold up for generations with archival materials.
Concert and Event Memorabilia
Ticket stubs, setlists, and backstage passes look great together. A collage frame keeps them organized and protected.
Wedding and Anniversary Collages
Mix ceremony photos, invitations, and a handwritten note in one frame. It's a gift that actually gets hung on the wall.
Sports and Achievement Displays
Team photos, medals, and game-day shots work well together in a collage layout. We do this kind of work all the time.
Why Los Angeles Homeowners Trust Frame 2000 for Collage Framing
Collage framing is harder than it looks. Getting the spacing right takes real skill. Picking a mat that ties everything together takes real skill. Choosing glass that won't distort small prints takes real skill. We've been doing this at our Venice shop since 1989. Last month a customer brought in 14 photos from her grandmother's life and had no idea how to arrange them. We helped her plan the layout before anything was cut. That kind of help is what we do.

Collage Framing Cost in Los Angeles
Collage framing prices vary depending on how many pieces you have and how large the finished frame needs to be. A simple four-photo collage costs less than a large mixed-media display with custom matting. The type of glass you choose matters too. UV-protective glass costs more than standard glass, but it's worth it in Los Angeles where sun exposure is intense year-round. We give you a clear quote before any work starts. No surprise charges at pickup.
Collage Framing Questions Answered
Here are the questions we hear most often at our Venice shop.
-
How much does collage framing cost in Los Angeles?
Most collage frames at Frame 2000 run between $85 and $600 or more, depending on size and materials. A small four-photo collage with a basic frame costs far less. A large display with UV glass and custom matting costs much more. We give you an exact price before we start. Bring your pieces in and we'll quote you on the spot.
-
How long does collage framing take?
Most collage framing jobs are ready in about one to two weeks. Larger or more complex layouts can take a little longer. We do all the work in-house at our shop, so we're not waiting on outside vendors. We'll give you an estimated pickup date when you drop off your pieces.
-
Can I frame a collage myself instead of using a shop?
You can buy a multi-opening frame at a craft store and drop photos in. But the results rarely look as good as custom work. Getting the spacing even, cutting mats cleanly, and fitting photos without damage takes practice. In our experience, DIY collage frames often end up looking crowded or crooked. A custom job holds up much better over time.
-
How is collage framing different from a regular picture frame?
A standard frame holds one piece. Collage framing holds multiple pieces in a single frame, arranged with individual mat openings for each. The mat does most of the work. It separates the pieces visually and keeps them from touching the glass. We design the mat layout based on the sizes and shapes of your specific photos or keepsakes.
-
Do I need to bring in my photos right away, or can I wait?
Waiting is a common mistake. Photos stored in shoeboxes or drawers can yellow, curl, or stick together over time. Los Angeles homes can get warm, and heat speeds up that damage. The sooner you get them framed with archival materials, the better shape they'll be in. Bring them in when you're ready and we'll take it from there.
-
How do I know if my photos are good enough quality to frame in a collage?
Bring them in and we'll take a look. Old prints, slightly faded photos, and even some damaged pieces can still work well in a collage layout. If a photo is too damaged, we can talk about restoration options through our art restoration services. We've worked with everything from crisp digital prints to decades-old family snapshots.
-
Can you frame items that aren't photos, like ticket stubs or cards?
Yes, and we do it all the time. Ticket stubs, postcards, handwritten notes, ribbons, and small keepsakes all work in a collage frame. The trick is mixing different sizes and shapes cleanly. We plan the mat layout so everything sits flat and looks intentional. Some of the best collages we've built at our Venice shop are a mix of photos and paper mementos.
